Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox attended Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She took a course in harpsichord and flute for three complete years. Lennox's budget was increased by a student's allowance which she earned while working part-time to earn a living. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy with her performance compared to her fellow students. Then she began to consider alternatives. Lennox played flute of a group named Dragons Playground in 1976. The group broke up when they were in I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. The singer was the primary voice in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. That was also where she met Dave Stewart with whom she formed her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her debut solo album Diva in the year 1992. It was a massive success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo release was released in the month of November. The C.D. comprises a selection Lennoxs most loved blues, soul and jazz tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a collection of 4 piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May, 2019. The E.P. The E.P. will be an accompanying piece to an art installation that she conceived at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go... This is her first independent album.
