Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born performer. Her birth date was 24 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox went to an institution called the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She was a harpsichord scholar and the flute for three whole years. Lennox grew up on a school allowance and part-time work to help supplement her income. As a student at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill compared to her student classmates and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox was first introduced to the world of music in the year 1976, as a singer with the group Dragons Playground. The group did not be able to make it onto the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and the year 1980, she was the singer in The Tourists. A British pop group. It was during this time that she came across Dave Stewart with whom she would form Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox later began working on her debut solo album Diva and it was released in the year 1992. Both commercially as well as critically it was a huge commercial success. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in the month of November. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs her favorite blues and soul tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera is a collection of four tracks that she improvised for piano, which Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. This album also serves as a companion to her Now I Let You Go... installation, which was displayed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is a Scottish social activist, politician and song-writer and performer. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the 1970s. Later, with Dave Stewart and other musicians they formed the Eurythmics. The year 1992 was the year Lennox began her solo career by releasing her debut album Diva and produced numerous hit tracks, including Why and Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It features cover versions of some songs, including The No MoreI love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo studio albums and her compilation album include a number of songs.
